David has over 28 years’ experience in the telecommunication’s industry with expertise in telecommunications engineering and operations, including the area of disaster response and resiliency. David has led the Optus’ strategy for dealing with natural disasters nationwide since 2020.   Prior to his current position at Optus, David’s career took him to the United States, for more than 15 years.  David held the role of Regional Vice President where he managed responses to countless disasters, served on multiple boards, received numerous national industry awards, and spoke at many industry events. In addition to his outstanding professional accomplishments, David also serves as an active member of the NSW Rural Fire Service since first joining the service in 1989.
