ACCAN has today released our Independent Plan Comparison Tool (IPCT) Policy Position. Developed in consultation with consumers and other stakeholders, this position outlines the rationale for an IPCT for the telecommunications sector.
The IPCT should:
- Provide independent and complete information about voice, data, and broadband products and services.
- Be free, accessible, and easy to use.
Establishing an IPCT would:
- Reduce the search costs and information asymmetries faced by consumers.
- Promote competition by reducing barriers to entry and enhancing the discoverability of smaller providers.
