The Australian Communications Consumer Action Network (ACCAN) is Australia’s peak national consumer advocacy organisation for communications working to achieve trusted, accessible, inclusive, affordable and available communications and digital services for all Australians.

The Role
Reporting to the CEO, this newly created position will facilitate the streamlining and effective management of the organisation’s administrative requirements, as well as providing comprehensive support to the CEO and executive team. The role will ensure the smooth operation of ACCAN’s daily activities, and your responsibilities include:
- Support the CEO with board meetings and general executive assistance
- Assist with finance, governance, compliance and HR functions
- Coordinate and assist with administrative tasks across the team
- Develop internal document management processes
- Maintain office space and facilities support management
- Ensure accessibility and currency of organisational documents
- Undertake procurement of office consumables and maintenance
Skills Required
You are currently in a similar office manager or executive assistant role, ideally developed within a membership, community or non-profit organisation. You have the ability to undertake a broad range of duties and work with a high level of self-direction. To succeed in this role, you will be outcomes driven, energetic and empathetic. Additionally, you can demonstrate:
- Excellent organisation skills and adaptability to manage competing priorities
- A track record building and maintaining collaborative relationships
- Highly developed verbal and written communication skills
- Intermediate/Advanced skills in Office 365 and working knowledge of CRM systems
