Australian Communications Consumer Action Network

ACCAN Grants Scheme

The ACCAN Grants Scheme funds projects which either undertake research on telecommunications issues, represent consumers or create educational tools which empower consumers to make decisions in their own interests and to understand telecommunications products and services. All eligible projects address systemic issues for telecommunications consumers.

ACCAN works towards a communications market that is fair and inclusive for all – a market which is available, accessible and affordable.

The ACCAN Grants Scheme is now closed for 2015. Applications are normally open for 6 weeks between February and March each year. The 2015 Guidelines can be found on our Scheme overview page.

There is scope for a wide variety of projects. Previous ACCAN grants recipients have produced research that has provided a strong evidence base for our advocacy work. Funding has also been used to develop educational materials designed to empower consumers and communities.

The ACCAN Grants Scheme is competitive, carries an annual budget of $250,000 and accepts applications during one round per year. Applicants can apply for funding of up to $60,000.
